Ten on Tuesday

1. Friday was a difficult day for various reasons, but it ended lovely with my early Mother's Day presents from my boys. Zane gave me a self portrait he had drawn and framed at school. He also had filled out one of those Mother's Day questionnaires. Most of his answers were spot on and not entertaining. However the "My mother laughs when...." question he answers "when I fall down." Which is very accurate but also hysterical, and possibly painted me in a bad light. Oops.
Rowan just so happened to be at school the day they made Mother's Day gifts, a little flower planted in a pot he had decorated. He was soooo proud of it and have me lots of love that afternoon, which I desperately needed by that point in the day.
 2. These adorably cute pics of Zane dressing up his baby brother also brightened my day Friday. I assume that this picture, of Thatcher with a bow on his head, is what our daughters would look like since just make the one baby. Pretty cute but much cuter as a boy!
He also looks pretty adorable as a baby surgeon, I might just use this as a first Halloween costume!
 3. Saturday morning we headed up to the farm for Mother's Day fun. Since we were going to the lake Sunday we had our 3rd annual Mother's Day snake hunt on Saturday afternoon. Yes, baby Thatcher went on his very first snake hunt with us.
We missed Uncle Able's muscle, but we did find two snakes and lots of snake skins.

Every boy mom's mother's day, covered with boys, out at a snake hunt. I think Thatcher had a blast!
This was Rowan's first go at holding one of the big snakes. He was very proud of himself.

We've started a new policy of releasing the snakes that we catch in the West pasture back in the West pasture so we don't deplete the snake population where we go snake hunting.

4. Saturday evening we had a campfire, which meant an adorable baby playing on the a blanket. I love how much he enjoyed it. Look at this adorable, smiley baby!!
Look at these three, be still my heart.
Thatchy is doing great at holding his little head up, he smiles, and coos at you once you he finally can focus on your face. It's seriously the cutest thing in the world when your kid finally can recognize you.
 5. Sunday morning we headed to the lake for the first time this summer. It has been raining a lot there the past couple weeks, so the water is as high as I've ever seen it. This also means the water is freezing cold. But don't worry my boys did not mind it at all. They swam multiple times, did cannon balls, and both learned how to dive thanks to Uncle Able. I was so impressed that they both mastered the art of diving into a pool of freezing cold water.

Of course we did a lot of fishing and the blue gills were much bigger this year!

Rowan's tiny body was perfect for diving!

6. The baby cousins had a blast at the lake as well, look at this face, doesn't it scream that he's having a great time!! His tiny adventure hat is getting a lot of use these days.

Zane playing/talking to baby Alice was the cutest thing ever. He was great with her!
 7. This picture was my favorite from Mother's Day weekend. Sweet Rowan gave me lots of hugs and snuggles this weekend I'm so glad mom captured this one on camera. This is my favorite place to be, sitting with a little boys arms around my neck.

8. Zane missed the Lake Monsters big tournament this weekend while we were at the farm. His coaches said they missed his big bat! Yesterday we were back at the t-ball fields and the coaches wife got this amazing picture of Korenak getting ready to go up to the bat. She is trying to get a shot like this of everyone, Zane is HUGE compared to his teammates. It's crazy!
This is Zane rounding third base to score the winning run!!!

9. This morning was my first trip back to the gym post baby. We've been going on walks in the morning for a few weeks, but it was time to step it up a bit. Baby Thatcher did amazing during his first trip to child watch. He didn't miss me at all! My workout wasn't very impressive, but it was good to get back to our normal routine of going to the gym first thing in the morning.
After the gym we headed to the park! Rowan finally mastered the fire pole, which was the last thing at the park that he couldn't do. He's officially the biggest kid! Slow down time!!
10. Lastly, just this cuteness! That's all!
