Thatcher's Two Month Update

Well I think I mentioned in the first month update that the jury was still out on whether he would be a Zane, huge model, or a tiny Rowan model. Well the jury has come in over this past month and I'm pretty sure he is bound to be a big huge huge one. This month Thatcher moved up to six month clothes, the same adorable little rompers and tank tops that Rowan wore when he was five and six months old. His little face is the chubbiest cutest thing and today we got the official height and weight stats from his doctor's visit. He weighed in at 13lbs 11oz (80th percentile), 24 inches long (89th percentile), and his head was 40.5cm (89th percentile). I have really enjoyed being able to go back to the boys monthly blog updates and compare their sizes. For the record at two months Zane was 13lbs 3oz and 24 inches long. Rowan, the little tiny one, was 11lbs  11oz and 23.5inches long.

This month's most exciting development was Thatcher finding his sweet smile. He recognizes our faces now, even if it takes him awhile to focus and actually figure out who he's looking at. This has led to hours of me laying on the floor talking to my sweet boy. He coos and goos, smiles, and is all around adorable. He has no desire to work on things like rolling over. I lay him on his belly at least once a day and about a minute later he's loosing his ever loving mind. Thatcher's tiny sad lip and sad goo face is the most hysterical thing I've ever seen. Is it bad that his sad face makes me laugh?? In good news we don't see it very often or for very long. He's a super happy, laid back baby, minus today when he was pretty crabby from his two month shots.

Big fat Thatch is definitely living up to his name. Rowan is still in charge of his outfits most days and he gets very frustrated when they inevitably don't fit anymore. Below is his attempt at having him wear his Cardinals shirt.

OMG look at this adorable face. I can't handle it. This was mid conversation with my little man. He has a lot to say, mainly cooo, goo, aahhh, adorableness!
Thatcher spends a lot of time with his big bros, cuddling, watching TV, watching them play baseball, talking to them while he is playing on the floor. His big brother's remain very helpful to me and he is starting to recognize their faces which is the best.

This time with his brother often ends up with him wearing random things, like sunglasses or hats.

In other news from today' doctor's appointment, we have to keep him in tiny, hard soled shoes, for the next month to see if that helps correct his little feet turning in. He sadly has inherited my turned in feet. I wore the little shoes to correct it, mom's brining mine down in case it comes to that after a month in tennis shoes. The shoes probably weren't helping his crabbiness today, poor little guy.

He lost clothes privileges due to crabbiness around 4pm.

Other highlights from this month include his first farm camp, two trips to the lake, multiple trips to Grandma's house, lots of baseball games, first snake hunt, celebrating his first Mother's Day with me, and saying good bye to days with just him and I at home as the school year came to a close. Also this month, as his brown baby hair fell out, we found out that he had another birth mark on the back of his little head.
Baby birth mark, where did the brown hair come from??
Last day of cuddles with just me and my sweet baby.
Lake Time!
First snake hunt
First farm camp

That's probably all the cuteness we can handle this evening and all the news about little Thatch I can think of!
