A few hours later Zach says "Rowan learned how to ride his bike." Zach was on drugs at the time so I thought he'd lost his mind. But sure enough mom had sent us a video of Rowan riding down the driveway at the farm, no training wheels on, all by himself. Mom didn't seem too impressed by this in the video. When I called to get the full story mom said that Rowan told her he knew how to ride without his training wheels, said in all confidence, mom didn't question this and he took off on his bike like it was old hat. It was in fact, NOT old hat, he had never done it before in his life and it had been weeks since he even tried. He rode his bike all the way to the little church down the rode from moms, up and down the driveway, and apparently really wanted to do some jumps off the ramp from farm camp, but mom convinced him he needed to be riding his bike for a few days before he does that. I wish I knew how to upload videos to the blog, but I don't so believe me when I say it's adorable and hilarious watching him peddle is tiny bike with his tiny legs.
Here he is the big man at Grandma's on the day he taught himself, randomly, how to ride a bike!
When he got home yesterday he had to show off his new skills before we headed to Everett's party!Yesterday he had just a little bit of trouble riding on the sidewalk, which is a little slanted, but today he mastered that as well. He also taught himself how to get started, take turns, and go up and down the driveway. He even had a race with Zane today, next up wheelies!!!
