Ten on Tuesday

1. On Friday the Korenak family had a morning adventure before heading back to the farm for the weekend. We went to the Oklahoma Science Museum. Zane had been before, I think last summer, but this time was much more memorable as the Museum's mascot, Otto the Robot, was at the front door to greet us. It was by far the highlight of his day and he is still talking about.

2. The other highlights included the Astronaut picture place. I told Zane the story of the moon landing at nap time one day, about how their is an American flag on the moon, and he didn't believe me. Hoping this helped him believe it a little more.  And there were "real dinosaurs." They were actually quite life like, roaring back at you when you talked to them, and moved around pretty scarily as well. The first two were nice, but the last one was too scary for Zane's liking.

3. Saturday we started Christmas decorating at the farm. Zane did much better at putting Christmas tree ornaments on this year, though still needs some work at not putting all the ornaments on the same branch. Rowan slept through the decorating, but has had fun since checking out the soft ornaments that we put along the bottom.

4. Saturday night mom watched the boys while Zach and I headed back to OKC for his company's Christmas party. It was really just dinner, with horse racing I guess we could have watched afterwards, but we had to drive back to the farm so didn't stay long. Everyone was nice, though it was strange that no one asked me what I did for a living, everyone assumed I was a kept woman. Maybe one day.

5. Sunday Abbey and her crew came up to the farm for more fun. We decorated some more, played in the leaves, swang, threw rotten pumpkins off the bridge, you know all the usual farm activities. The weather was nice so Zach and Brent were able to take the kids down to the "house" by the creek which I missed but heard that they went "to the beach" and brought lots of sand back to prove it.

6. Gary continues to be lots of fun, constantly moving around the house, keeping us on our toes. He did have a mysterious fall yesterday, which Zane explains happen when "Ro Ro climb up there and knock him down." Gary then had to be moved to higher ground for the remainder of the day. Today he brought Zane back a Santa hat, from the North pole, which has been fun. Here is a collage of his travels, minus when he was riding Bullseye the horse with a cowboy hat on one morning. Bullseye was needed before I could get a picture. I'll have to recreate it at some point. He's been in the tree, the stocking, and hte Nativity scene, eating cookies, trying to break into the fridge, bird watching, and riding spot.

7. This evening we are going to the Guernsey kids Christmas party where Santa will be making an appearance. There will also be snow tubing of some kind at the Bricktown Ball park, hopefully it's fun and Zane doesn't have a breakdown because it starts at 7pm. We shall see.

8. Yesterday I got the boys professional pictures back. I haven't gotten the CD yet so can't upload any, but they are all wonderful. There are quite of few with Zane's 'fake' smile, not himself at all, but lots of him smiling normally as well. It  remains impossible to get both boys to look at the camera at the same time or for Zane to not have a terribly mean face on while 'holding' Rowan. Oh well. The turned out great with lots of blue eyed boy pictures to choose from. I will post my favorites when I get the CD.

9. This week Rowan has gotten one of his top middle teeth. This has made adorable cheek kisses quite painful. His little smile is looking different and like such a big boy.

10. This morning Mom and Zane went on quite an adventure in the fog, to the hay bales, and down to the creek. Here is a glimpse of what I missed, luckily mom took my camera along.
